IUCN XIth International Otter Colloquium

Poster presentation

Authors intending to present a poster must submit their request in the registration form of the Colloquium.
Posters (120 cm high and 100 cm wide) will be shown throughout the meeting. Each poster must display the following structure: title, author's name(s) and address(es) and text, indicatively subdivided in the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements and References.
A maximum of two posters per individual will be accepted.


Oral presentation

Authors intending to give an oral presentation must submit their request in the registration form of the Colloquium. Should an author wish to submit more than one presentation, only one will be accepted for oral presentation. Other contributions, maximum two, will have to be presented as posters. Presentations will be submitted to the chairmen of each session for final decision.


Instructions for the submission of abstracts

Abstracts should be submitted for both oral and poster presentations. They will be published on Hystrix, The Italian Journal of Mammalogy (N.S.) - Suppl. 2011 ( www.italian-journal-of-mammalogy.it/).
All abstracts must be submitted by June 8, 2011. There can be no guarantee of publication in the Abstract Journal for the abstracts received after this date.
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and the authors will be informed of the decision by the end of June 2011.
Abstracts must comply with the following instructions:
- to be written in English (please take care that it is checked by a native English speaker);
- do not exceed 3000 types, pigeon-holes included;
- to include details of the aims, methods and results of the research;
- not include references, tables and figures.
Please send abstracts as a Doc file, written in Times New Roman according to the following editing structure: title (font size 12, in capital letters), author's name(s) and family name (font size 10, in capital letters), address(es) and e-mail (font size 10) and text (font size 10). Please see the attached abstract as an example.
When submitting your abstract, please state whether you wish it to be considered for an oral presentation or a poster, and in which session/workshop you would like your presentation to be included.

Please notice that the inclusion of the abstracts in the Proceedings of the XIth International Otter Colloquium is conditional on the presenting author(s) paying the appropriate registration by May 31, 2011.
