Scientific programme

The XI International Otter Colloquium is an excellent opportunity to become familiar with current knowledge on conservation status and advances in research on all 13 species of otter. About 200 delegates are expected in Pavia from at least 30 countries, offering the opportunity to exchange research experiences with colleagues from all over the world.
The Colloquium will have a plenary lecture and special session on Global warming and will focus on various aspects of research and conservation of otters. It will include both plenary and standard sessions, workshops and a poster session. It will also host the continental meetings of the IUCN/Otter Specialist Group.

Language

The official language of the Congress will be English. No translation facilities will be available.

Departures for post congress tours

   



Post Congress Tours

Two programs for post-conference tours are now available and will allow the participants to visit otter centres and Parks hosting otter populations in the wild. Program 1: Majella National Park (Abruzzo region, central Italy); Program 2: National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano (Campania region, southern Italy.
The deadline for registration for these tours has been postponed to June 30, 2011.
